The Role
We are looking for a Medior/Senior Frontend Developer to join our team. Initially, your main focus will be helping us migrate our existing AngularJS 1 application to SolidJS while maintaining a seamless user experience. After the migration, you’ll remain a key member of DeltaBlue’s frontend development team, playing a crucial role in continuously improving and developing new features for our web application.
With the potential to grow into a Lead Frontend Developer, you will collaborate closely with design and product teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance our users’ experience and optimize the platform’s performance. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for frontend development who is excited about leading projects and growing into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of our current AngularJS 1 codebase to SolidJS, ensuring smooth transitions and high performance.
- Build, test, and maintain high-quality React and SolidJS components for our scalable web application.
- After migration, take ownership of frontend development, focusing on continuous improvement, new feature implementation, and overall codebase health.
- Collaborate closely with the design and product teams to turn ideas and designs into reality, ensuring a user-friendly experience.
- Play an instrumental role in driving frontend architecture decisions and establishing best practices for the team.
- Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration and communication between frontend and backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior developers as you grow into a potential leadership role.
- Stay updated on the latest frontend trends, continuously bringing new ideas to the table to improve the product.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in frontend development
- Deep understanding of web browser fundamentals:
JavaScript+ browser APIs,HTML5,CSS3 - Experience with
TypeScript - Experience with or interest in working with
SolidJS. You’ll be part of the team that pioneers this technology at DeltaBlue. - Experience with
React - Experience with or interest in maintaining and migrating from
AngularJS 1to modern frameworks. - Knowledge of modern build tools like
Vite. - Familiarity with
Git,CI/CD pipelines, and integrating RESTful APIs. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in working with cross-functional teams like design and product.
- Leadership potential: Experience or willingness to grow into a Lead Frontend Developer role.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with DevOps tools and cloud environments like
GitLabandDocker. - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like
JestorMochato test critical logic in isolation. - Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks like
PlaywrightorSeleniumto test business critical user flows. - A solid understanding of UI/UX principles and how they relate to frontend development.
